When working with broken concrete the first challenge is finding an ample supply of good concrete. Broken concrete is recycled concrete. The broken concrete was once a concrete sidewalk, patio or driveway that was broken up and disposed of. When we look for broken concrete material for a project we look for four characteristics. First, the concrete has to possess the correct and uniform thickness. Second, the concrete must not have any steel reinforcement inside it. Third, the concrete must have a handsome aggregate of stone imbedded inside the concrete. Fourth, there must be enough of it to complete the project.
